What to Expect
Reconnections and Rejoicing
DCHS Class of 1996 will blend guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect and reconnect with fellow Alumni. As we take a train ride from Detroit to Chicago, we will have a fun time networking, collaborating, and rejoicing on our past experience while creating new ones.
Adding to Our Experiences
Taste of Chicago returns to July’s with an exciting new line-up of vendors and entertainment. DCHS Closs of 1996 is excited to bring our alumni to Chicago to experience the excitement. We also invite our Friends and Family to join us.
Reflecting and Preserving Memories
DSCH Class of 1996 has group experiences and independent exploration time in the lineup to guide us in making the most of this over night reunion trip. To ensure that these memories are preserved, we have hired a professional photographer that will capture many of these moments for us at the group guided experiences. Please feel free to bring your class year book and past photos to share. A list of all registered Alumni will be provided by email 2 weeks prior to the trip.
Safety, Accountability, and Support
Our events prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the moment. Our team has put a lot of effort into this reunion trip, on a volunteer basis. We have donated time researching ideas, provided for free our skills in created and editing content, and collectively provided all of the starter funds associated with these celebrations.
Your registration fee will assist us in the overhead operation cost to continue celebrating. We are available by email for any questions or concerns. We will send you many updates along this process, please be sure to register and/or donate if you can not attend.

Please register and confirm your spot by clicking and submitting the $50 registration fee. This fee is due by June 1st. It includes your: Welcome Packet, Hotel Information, Detailed Itinerary, and Alumni Gift.

We are all riding in the same car via Detroit - Amtrak Wolverine. We must pay as a group. The group roundtrip train fee is $125 and is due by May 6th After May 6th this rate is subject to change and seat in not guaranteed.

After registering, we'll send you a Welcome Packet with everything you need to know— hotel accommodations, detailed schedules, packing list recommendations, add-ons to consider, and more.

We have chosen a beautiful hotel in the center of everything. Your welcome packet will provide you with a special link to book your hotel room. Specialty group rates have been applied.
